An Evening With Dave MacLeod
22nd November 2019
Dave MacLeod has been doing top level first ascents in most climbing disciplines for almost twenty years. From the world’s first E11 trad route to big wall first ascents in Patagonia, the Alps and Norway. He’s known for his systematic and scientific approach to training which helped hime climb F9a sport routes, V15 boulders, Scottish XII mixed routes and E11 trad. He’s also shared his knowledge over many years in two popular books on training for climbing. Dave has also had some serious climbing accidents and has returned to form quickly after each one. In his talk, Dave will talk about his adventures with pushing his climbing and some key defining moments that provided a catalyst for breaking his own barriers despite a lack of climbing talent and the setbacks he’s had.
Tickets for this prestigious evening are priced at £30 and include a free meal. All profits will be donated towards the Dorset Bolt Fund.
